Artist Statement
I find myself deeply concerned about the behavior of people as it relates to its affect on others, mostly in terms of how our institutions are structured and the resulting behavior. People often make the assertion, "that's the way the world works", the fact is the modern world is largely constructed and contrived. This statement doesn't refer to the Carbon Cycle or some natural occurrences, it is a perception that usually accompanies a justification for something wrong the user felt they had to do or had done to them. Our institutions largely serve the interest of maintaining and gaining power rather than serving the public good, this goes for government, businesses, and churches to some extent.
